about

I’m Damon Lavrinc, and before we get any further, it’s pronounced Lav-rinse.
I hold down the Transportion Editor position at Wired and keep the gears running at Autopia. I’m also an infrequent contributor to Gadget Lab and Wired Design. So part gearhead, part geek. Because everyone needs a tagline.
In addition to a 6-year stint at Autoblog, I’ve contributed to the late Sport Compact Car, Engadget and variety of automotive and lifestyle publications.
My wife and I share a house in Oakland, CA with an 85-pound mutt, a 70-pound Lab/Pointer and a 10-pound Russian Blue. When I’m not at the Wired mothership in SF, I work out of an office in my garage that overlooks a creek. That last bit pleases me to no end.
I’m on Facebook and Google Plus, but rarely check either, so the best way to keep up with me is on Twitter and Tumblr. If you need to chat, drop a me a line at damonlavrinc [at] gmail.
