about

I’m Damon Lavrinc, and before we get any further, it’s pronounced Lav-rinse.
I’m the editor of Autopia and head up WIRED’s transportation coverage. For six years I held down the Senior Editor position at Autoblog.com, and continue to focus on automotive technology and mobility. So, part gearhead, part geek. Because everyone needs a tagline.
I’ve written for a variety of publications both online and off, including the late Sport Compact Car, a few buff books and Autoblog’s tech-centric sibling site, Engadget.
My wife and I share a house in Oakland, CA with an 85-pound mutt and a 10-pound Russian Blue. When I’m not at the WIRED mothership in SF, I work out of an office in my garage that overlooks a creek. That last bit pleases me to no end.
I’m on Facebook and Google Plus, but rarely check either, so the best way to keep up with me is on Twitter and Tumblr. If you need to chat, drop a me a line at damonlavrinc [at] gmail.
